Chatter and a Toot!

I know, it's been ages since I posted - as usual! My excuse is that we were away! In fact, we had a fantastic holiday - including the earthquake!!! It woke all of the adults up, whilst the kids slept right through it. It was 'only' 5.2 and lasted 10 seconds, but the earth sure did move, even though we were about 60 miles away from the epicentre!!

We came back last weekend and then on Sunday, Emi and Alice played with PASSO (area strings orchestra) in the Portsmouth Festival. They were awesome and were awarded a distinction. The adjudicator literally did toss a coin to decide between them and an orchestra from one of the local private senior schools to see who got the cup as they were equal on points! Then, today, they played in Chichester festival and they came first! The adjudicator said their their performance was "Outstanding both technically and artistically"! So, am very proud of them both - and it has made Lucie even more determined to work and see if she can be the youngest to get into PASSO after playing for only a year!!! Her teacher seems to think she will be able to, so we will see!!!

Haven't done many LOs recently, probably cos I haven't scrapped many!! Will come back and post some later on today hopefully - Lucie is wanting me to hear her music practise!!!
