Crazy Few Weeks!

Wow! Have things been crazy here or what??!! But, I am not complaining as I absolutely love the crazy hectic run-up to Christmas! The carol service that the lower school took part in was fantastic and Lucie made a gorgeous Mary (ok, so I may be slightly biased!!!), despite having a stinking cold! What made Lucie's day was when one of the teachers, Mrs Orbell, who isn't well-known for her compliments at all, came up to her and said "I don't think we've ever had such a pretty Mary"!!

Here is a photo of her - haven't had a chance to scrap it yet as I am waiting on a fantastic kit from Sharia Braxton to use with it!!! The costume has more 'bling' than I think the real Mary would have had, but Lucie was happy!!!

Last weekend found us going over to St Peters church for Emi and Alice to play in their orchestra concert. They both play in an orchestra called PASSO which is petersfield and Area Schools Strings Orchestra and it is a real honour for them to have been asked to join. Well, I have to say, the orchestra was absolutely fantastic! The versatility they showed in being able to play so many different types of music from the Harry Potter theme tune to traditional Christmas carols was amazing! The both really enjoyed it and the evening was made complete when my brother and his wife announced to the girls that they are going to have a cousin in June next year! I already knew about 4 weeks before, but had to keep it a secret till they had been given the all-clear at their scan! I am so excited that I am going to become and aunty!!!!

Here are 2 LOs - both the same, but with photos of Emi and Alice at the concert last week.

I also just have to toot Emi for a minute! At the end of the term, each child is given a report card with every subject they do and 3 grades on it - one for attitude, one for classwork and one for homework. The grade start with * as the highest, meaning above average, down to a C - below average! Well, Emi got all *s and As - and the subjects she got the As for were the non-academic subjects like Art and PE, so all of the important subjects, she got *s for! She was very surprised actually, especially when she found out that it meant she was going into top set French, which she wasn't expecting for some reason!!! I was so pleased for her because she always works consistently hard, and so she fully deserves it!

Just want to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and promise to post more after the holidays!!
