Brag For Lucie!

Ok, Here's a brag for Lucie. She goes to the infant school so her parent-teacher meeting was this morning (meant to be next week, but due to her having a dentist appointment that day, I saw her teacher before school this morning!). Anyway, her teacher was just as positive as the other girls' teachers. She is at the levels she is expected to be at, and above, in all subjects! In fact, her reading ability is way ahead! Her headmistress spoke to me the other day and said that she listened to Lucie read and assessed her - Lucie was reading at the level of a 91/2 year old - she isn't even 7 till May! I guess that with me and the other 2 girls loving reading, she was bound to be the same! Her teacher also said how helpful she is - always wanting to do better tidying than the next person (shame she isn't like that at home!!!), and alwys being one of the first to put her hand up to help anyone! She also commented on how easy Lucie found it to make friends - she has her special close friends - Abbie, Olivia and Ethan, but is also friendly with everyone else in the class, and can just slip into any friendship group and join in their games - with both boys and girls! Her teacher summed it up by saying "Lucie is a wonderful little girl, a real all-rounder, and I am proud to have her in my class" - can't ask for more!
