There are 2 challenges up at gds which you really should go and have a look at cos I like them!! Not that I'm biased or anything!!
Firstly, there's the scraplift challenge which is a scraplift of one of Leslie Emery's beautiful layouts called Little Freckles - its really cute and definitely scrapliftworthy! You can find all the info here in the forum - and if you take part and post your layout in the gallery, you'll get a freebie from me :)
As soon as I had decided on which layout I was going to use for the scraplift challenge, I knew exactly which photo I was going to use! Here's my scraplift, using one of Debra Anderson's daily download kits called 'Have A Flower'. I took this photo when we were on holiday in Canada in Wendy's garden - I love this photo of Emi cos it shows how relaxing it was for us all when we were there.

The second challenge at gds is an Ad/Art Inspiration challenge which will involve, as its name suggests, using either art or an advert as the inspiration for your layout. I have to say that these are my favourite of all challenges as they really get me thinking!! This month is an advert which I took from our local community magazine, advertising a nearby pottery! You can see the ad in the gallery here, and find more info in the forum here. As with the scraplift challenge, if you post your layout in the gallery, you'll get a freebie from me :)
My layout for this challenge again used photos taken when we were in Canada - this time at Marcie's house. Imagine our surprise when only a few days into our trip (which was in April!!), it snowed - and more snow than my girls had ever seen!! Of course, we hadn't packed for snow, so the girls had to borrow Marcie's kid's snow clothes which were rather too big seeing as her kids are grown up! lol!! But, it was worth it to see the girls having so much fun! I used Rebecca Gold's Snow Storm kit :)
In case you are wondering about the teddy, she belongs to my friend Gill (beany) and came with us on our trip because Gill couldn't!!The third challenge is at SBP in their Kidz Zone. Seeing as my 2 eldest girls enjoy digiscrapping and are members of the kidz zone, I was more than happy to help out with one of the challenges. So, I am doing an ABC Book of Me Challenge where they will use 2 or 3 different letters each month to create pages about them. I am also going to do an album, but haven't had time to get any pages done yet!! If you have any kids interested, get them to join in - its great fun and they get to 'meet' other kids around the world! And, of course, they will get a posting bonus for their layouts they post!!
Anyway, non-scrapping stuff - Emi has a friend from school here for a sleepover tonight, and they are busy playing with Hama beads which will need ironing soon! And, of course, they will need to eat fairly soon too, so I'd best get on!!
Don't forget to check out the challenges - I'll feel like a right 'billy-no-mates' if nobody does them!!

Cool pages. I'll go check out the challenges. I need to do something about getting some pages done. I find myself organizing more than making pages!
Very cool kids forum! My son, almost 7, wants to learn. He has made a few pages already, we just need to not lose our momentum.
