This layout is of Alice and her headmaster after he had presented her with her achievement award - the journalling reads "On the last day of the Autumn term 2006, Alice was presented with an achievement award by her headmaster, Mr Blackmore, for "always putting more than 100% effort into everything she does at school - not just in her studies, but when helping out teachers and her fellow pupils too". When she went back to her classroom after being given the award, her teacher, Mrs Wade-Palmer, said that she was glad that Alice was in her class because there was no one else she could even have considered giving it to. Her prize was a book token which she took shopping the next day and bought 'Ann of Green Gables'." I love this kit - it's Brown Bag Art by Misty Cato.

I know I have already done a layout a while back using these photos of Emi, but I so love them that I just had to use them again! And this kit - Aimee's Room byJanette Padley (Dragons Lair Designs at Scrapbookers Playground) was perfect for them. The tag in the bottom left of the layout is also by Janette - you really should take a look as she has a few in her store - one of which is a freebie - they are something 'different' to add to your LOs!

I entered this layout in the 'Capture The Moment' contest over at Go Digital Scrapbooking where you can vote for me if you like! I love the photos which I took last week when we went on the Santa Special steam train on the Watercress Line - for those of you who like Thomas the Tank Engine - the Watercress Line is where he lives and where you can travel on a real train pulled by him! Anyway, Lucie was so excited to be seeing Santa and as soon as he had given her this gorgeous teddy, she fell in love - and they are now inseparable!! I had to use Alice Naylor's Christmas Express kit because of its gorgeous train buttons!

As some of you will know, Alice started to learn the violin in September this year and I am so pleased with how she has come along. She has practised really hard and has already been moved up a group. We bought her a second hand violin when she started playing but she needed a new bow which she asked for for Christmas and my dad very kindly bought for her - now all she needs are the new strings for it which are pretty expensive but it is worth it to see her so enthusiastic about playing it! I think she has found the instrument for her!! She told me the other day that she wants to play like the Dixie Chicks (and that means an electric violin!!!) and if she carries on like she has been, I can see her getting there!! Anyway, this photo was taken of her when she played for everyone at my aunt's house on Boxing Day - again, I used Janette Padley's Aimee's Room kit, and also a layered template by Melissa Hiroti
