Crazy Weekend!!

The end of last week and the weekend have been even crazier than usual! I had to take Alice back to the doctor on Friday with tonsils the size of golf balls - well, slight exaggeration, but they were so bog on Thursday evening that they were touching! So, 2 weeks to the day after taking her the first time, and 4 days after finishing the antibiotics, there we were again, being given another 10 days worth! The nurse was really funny. She examined Alice before seeing the doctor (a nurse triage thing they are doing now at our local surgery). She checked her temperature (normal due to me having dosed her up on Calpol!) and looked in her ears. Then when she checked her throat, I thought she was going to faint!! She just looked up at me with big wide eyes and said "Have you seen the size of her tonsils - they are massive"! Uh, like, yeah, that's why we're here!!!! Anyway, the doctor wasn't quite sure what to do as the first lot of antibiotics had obviously not worked as well as they should have done, but thinks that it might be because her tonsils are so big and the infection can be deep inside them! I am just hoping that they do work this time as she is off on a residential trip with the school next week!
Then, after school on Friday. each of the girls had a friend round for a sleepover and to watch High School Musical 2 - a movie night with 6 girls - what was I thinking??!! Actually, it was really good fun, and they were very well behaved. Mind you, I think the whole of the south of England heard them as they joined in with the countdown on the Disney channel! The funniest part was when Lucie actually cried during the film!! There is a part where Troy and Gabriella spilt up, and no word of a lie, she was sat there in tears! She is way too much of a romantic for a 7 year old. Mind you, there were loud cheers from all of the girls when they finally kissed!! lol!!
My house was finally back to 3 girls and me by 11 o'clock on Saturday, but not for long as yesterday evening, Emi then went to a sleepover at her friend Hayley's house! She was so excited as it was with a lot of her new friends from her new school, so it was great for them to gossip and be girlie together!!! Apparently there wasn't an awful lot of sleep had by them as she is very tired today!!! I think it will be early nights all round tonight to get the ready for school tomorrow!!!
