During the summer holidays, we went to a 'museum' (I hate that word cos people immediately think of something stuffy and boring, which this definitely isn't!!) called Milestones, in Basingstoke. We went with my dad and my brother and had great fun! The girls learnt a traditional country dance, had a go on a violin, and bought traditional sweets from an old-fashioned sweet shop, paying with 2 old pennies, and a ration coupon! We also dressed up in traditional Victorian costumes. Em, typically for her, refused to wear one of the dresses and so dressed up as a boy! I don't know how she would have coped if she had lived in Victorian times, cos she lives in trousers outside of school!! She also wasn't too impressed about having her photo taken, hence the cap over her face!! The reason the rest of us are looking so serious is beacuse I said to the girls that in old photos, people didn't ever seem to smile, so they decided to make it as authentic as possible!!! Anyway, the layout was done for the colour challenge at RAKscraps, and I used a kit by Miss Mint, and a template by Laura Berger.

Beautiful layout, Joy! Love that photo of you all! Sounds like a place we could visit when I arrive in "jolly old England" one day :)
Museums are such cool places to be in! I love the photo!!! And as always, a great layout that went with it.
Happy weekend!
