Nearly there!

Well, I finally crawled into bed at about midnight last night - I started putting my CT blinkies in and decided that I couldn't do some and leave the rest till today in case any of them visited my blog and thought I had resigned!   So, I had to stay up and do all of them!! 

Another thing I didn't think about when I merrily clicked on the 'upgrade my template' button, was the fact that my blog links would disappear!  So, I now have to try to find everyone's blogs that I used to have on here and re-add them! So, if you visit me at some point and realise that yout link is no longer there, please just leave me a comment with the link to your blog, and I will add you - it is nothing personal, I promise!!

However, it won't be done till later on today as we are going out in a little while.  We are having a kind of family reunion. Am not sure of the actual definition of reunion, but I kind of take it to mean that you have met people before and are meeting them again which isn't true for some of the family members we are meeting!  My maternal grandmother's cousins are over here visiting from South Africa, so we are having a get-together in their honour! The last time they were over in England was in 1812 or something - well, ok, so that's a slight exaggeration, but it was a long time ago - before I was born, and before my Mum and Dad were married, although my dad has met them, so it was probably in the late 1960s-ish!  We are also meeting up with some of my Great Aunts who will probably say things to me like "The last time I saw you, you were Emily/Alice/Lucie's age - and they will probably be right!!

I have to say that I am rather nervous about it - am not particularly great at big family things, especially when I feel that I need to keep an eye on the girls all the time! I guess that's one of the down sides of being a single parent. I think it also makes me miss my Mum a lot - especially as it is her side of the family - and am thinking my Dad will probably be feeling it a lot too, so I will be keeping an eye on him and making sure he will be ok!
