ME AND THEM

Back To School

I am sure that I feel worse than the girls do when they go back to school after being at home for the holidays! Emi and Alice were quite happy to go back, but Lucie did have a few tears. I think the fact that I let Emi and Alice walk to school on their own softened the blow for them a bit! I hate the fact that they are growing up and that I have to 'let go' to a certain extent! The only reason that I have let them walk on their own is because I go to school anyway to take Lucie, so I can make sure that the other two get there ok (I won't have that in September when Emi goes to secondary school - I don't think she would appreciate me making sure she got to Bohunt ok!!) They are also planning on walking home together tonight, so it means that I don't have to hang around after getting Lucie, waiting for them to come out!

Anyway, we managed to fit so much into the 2 weeks Easter holiday that it felt as though they were home for much longer! The beautiful weather we have been having has helped too as it has meant we've been able to go out and do more, and when we've been at home, they have spent a lot of time playing outside with their friends, as well as having sleepovers and play dates!

On Wednesday last week, we went to Alice Holt Park and Alice and Lucie had a go at wall climbing, something that Lucie has wanted to do since she was about 3! Emi had had a go when she went to Fairthorne Manor with the school, and decided that she didn't want to this time, although she did then regret it when she saw the other two climbing, but I said she can have a go another time!

I took this photo of Emi when we were at my Dad's house on Easter Sunday. I don't remember what she was laughing about, but i think she has the most gorgeous smile (ok, so I'm biased!!). Anyway, I just knew I had to scrap the pic, and this was the resulting layout! And, guess what, I didn't even use a template!! lol!!

This next layout, I did for the ad inspiration challenge at gds which I am running. I just love the alpha I used! Designer Rebecca Gold has a really sweet daughter, called Katie (who happens to be friends with my dds and chats to them when the different time zones allow!!). She drew and decorated the alpha, then had Rebecca make it into this really cute digisticker alpha which i think went perfectly with my layout :)

This layout shows off our Easter presents!! The girls always end up with lots of chocolate from various people, so I buy them something different instead. They all decided that this year, they would like a pair of crocs each, so off we went to get some. I thought that I would try some too as I have heard a lot of people say how comfy they are (and having small, but wide feet always poses problems for me!). The only thing was that we all preferred the pink ones! So whenever we wear them, we look like the Pink Croc Brigade!!!And before anyone comments on the fact that the girls have charms on theirs and I don't, just wait till you see the recent photos of mine!!!

I haven't had time to do a layout of these photos yet, but I just had to share them! I promise you that these photos were taken on Thursday just gone, in England!!
